Fast forward to the present, and I find myself residing in the bustling state of New Jersey, alongside my wonderful husband, Umberto. He’s my rock, my support system, and my inspiration. While I take center stage in our culinary escapades, whipping up delectable dishes that merge the best East and West, Umberto is the wizard behind the camera lens. A passionate foodie himself, he’s always been the daring one to try new recipes and experiment with flavors, pushing me to reach new heights in my culinary journey. Together, we make a dynamic duo that’s fueled by love, creativity, and an insatiable hunger for great food.

Growing up in a bustling household, I was always surrounded by the tantalizing aromas of my grandmother’s and mother’s home-cooked meals. But when I moved to the States, my tastebuds were left yearning for the familiar flavors of home. Determined to bring a taste of Singapore to my new surroundings, I embarked on a culinary quest to recreate the dishes that I had grown up loving.
Despite being faced with limited ingredients and resources, I persevered, scouring the local markets for spices and experimenting with various techniques. And to my delight, my creations were met with resounding approval from my neighbors, friends, and family. Encouraged by their enthusiasm, I was inspired to launch a blog to share my culinary escapades with others who, like me, longed for a taste of something new and exciting.
That’s how I started this blog to share my experiences, drawing inspiration from the places I’ve been fortunate enough to visit and home where I’ve been warmly welcomed. I showcase cuisines from Singapore, as well as a diverse array of international flavors that I’ve encountered on my travels. My recipes are stress-free and not bound by tradition, featuring step-by-step tutorials and videos that make it easy for anyone to recreate these delicious dishes from scratch in the comfort of their own home.
